International WiFi Tournament -International Challenge- WON BY Cybertron

At this rate I'll probably not catch up with some of you that's already in the high 1700s 1800s etc... though I've got into the mid-1600s already in 2 of my carts that have completely different teams. My last win was against Prog from Italy ranked 1730 whom apparently had perfect IVd shiny pokemon.

That's it for me tonight. Ending at 1642 rating, 35 battles. Maybe upload a couple of the interesting ones tonight.

This is gonna be another unfriendly tourney for me -.-
8 battles, 7 won, only one stayed to count the loss and give me my win, and the guy that won against me d/c when result screen was up, and my loss wasn't counted ._.

I don't have the time nor the patience I had last time, so I'll just cancel competition... I'm sad my team didn't see that much action :(

GL everyone!!

Gonna take a break for now, got DC'd from koko from Illinois after a 10 minute battle that I had in control.

1547, 5 W /1 L / 2 DC so far

aw I haven't played anybody I know yet. You will certainly know if you play me though....
1506 at the moment, 2-1 (and a disconnecter). I just started, the only goal is to get above 1600

man i'm getting mixed results with japanese players. half dc half forfeit.(all my dc's were japanese players)

They really don't like playing matches out.

Took me one more win (19 vs 18), but I've reached Cybertron's total from Day 1 in my first day of being able to play ^__^ Not being able to play really screwed me yesterday, though, but I still plan to try and match Cybertron's totals, albeit a day later xD (I do have the weekend and he does not though, so we'll see if I can A) keep winning and B) play enough games to get close)

Today's Battles

I'm sorry to hear it's not working out this time either. Is there any possible way it's a problem with your connection in some way? It's pretty incredible that you could draw disconnectors and nothing else especially in the battles you lose.

- Good god, almost lost game 32 because I predicted way too much against a Terracott team. Pulled out the victory 2-0 though, but his rating is pretty low so I won't be getting too many points.
- Game 35 was the best game I had this entire tournament... uploading now.
- Note to self: it's so annoying when they DC right after the battle is over, because it increases your battle number but not rating :/
- Played my first Smogoner in game 58 vs. flash_mc. Epic battle, got a lot of parahax that went my way. GG!
- Reached 50 completed battles after game 59 against LOIX from Italy. This is too addicting.
- lol almost lost game 83 after he flinched froze and crit me in the first two turns, went from 4-2 to 0-2 yahhh!

Summary of Day 1:

- Total of 25 games played, 4 disconnections for a DC rate of 16%. Better play more games to make that rate lower.
- Started with 1500 points, ended with 1664 for a net gain of 164 points.
- Mainly played Japanese players tonight. The competition is significantly harder than that of the Autumn Friendly.
- Three losses tonight, could have been more or less... pulled through a couple of really tough ones with the help of hax, but lost two of the three through hax.
- I can already tell this is going to be addicting...
- Possible concern: I've dc'd like two or three times right after I connect with my opponent, but I don't even get to see their trainer card. This is really bad if it counts towards the DC rate. 10% is still hard to keep, considering my DC rate last time around was around 47%.

Notes

- Just lost 1-0 to a Metagross that had 3 HP left. Great game. 6-1 now.
-
10th game was the only really easy one today. This is actually really difficult compared to the Autumn Friendly because of the Japanese.
-
Broke 1600 after 11 games, with only 1 disconnection. Not bad!
-
Under 1600 after losing to a really good Japanese played named "Dirk." We had almost the exact same team, but after 17 minutes, he won because of a crucial flinch and critical hit on me when I switched in. Ugh, that's Pokemon for you.
-
Shucks, just lost again. 10-3 now. This is kind of frustrating, I'm not playing as well as I should be. It's nice to see so little disconnections though.
- Gaining confidence again after 4-0ing my last opponent.
- 2nd disconnection of the night, that game probably would have brought me to 1600+. Shame on you, Joy.
- 4th disconnection of the night after haxing my opponent quite a bit. I don't blame him for disconnecting, but I'm starting to get concerned, seeing how I have a DC rate of 18% at the moment...
- My 24th opponent just forfeited before we even started battling... guess he had to leave and was nice enough to run rather than DC? What a nice guy!
- Just haxed the shit out of my last opponent to get the 1-0 win. Close one. I'm out for tonight!
nice job cybertron you're goin hard i see. keep it up :D

From Day 1 and Day 2:

I've been working the last two days early so I've gone to bed early and am not getting in the number of battles I would otherwise, most likely. We'll see how it goes on the weekend. 1640~ right now, but had a couple losses to horrible team match ups, bad luck, and being out played a few times. Still 100% Win rate against the Japanese, though, which is interesting. There have been some good matches there:

WHITE from Tokushima, Japan (1508) *** Disconnected when I was up 2-1
Kevin from Michigan, USA (1437) *** 4-0 Victory
AGUILAR from Mexico (1527) *** Disconnected when I was up 4-3
South Korean player (1482) *** 3-0 Victory
Japanese player from Toyama, Japan (1539) *** 2-0 Victory
NEW from Hokkaido, Japan (1552) *** 1-0 Victory
Andrew from Ontario, Canada (1481) *** Disconnected when I was up 4-1
BlueJaw from Minas Gerais, Brazil (15XX) *** 0-1 Loss
BlueJaw from Minas Gerais, Brazil (15XX) *** 0-2 Loss
^^ This team combined two of the match-ups I didn't like. Getting him twice in a row was painful.
ALEJO from None (1439) *** Disconnected on Results screen / 4-0 Victory
Cody from Nevada, USA (1518) *** 3-0 Victory
Kasumi from Germany (1545) *** 2-0 Victory
Oscar from Denmark (1588) *** Disconnected when I was winning 3-0 despite his immense luck (2 freezes / 2 CHs)
South Korean player (1481) *** 4-0 Victory
Xamxar from None (1546) *** 2-0 Victory
Japanese player from Shizuoka, Japan (1476) *** 4-0 Victory
Hpar from Mexico (1470) *** 3-0 Victory
Japanese player from Osaka, Japan (1493) *** 3-0 Victory
Devante from Louisiana, USA (1549) *** 0-2 Loss (Freeze and lots of CHs :()
Amber from New Jersey, USA (1585) *** Disconnected on Results screen / 3-0 Victory
Yuuzuki from Louisiana, USA (1519) *** 2-0 Victory
Japanese player from Hokkaido, Japan (1595) *** 2-0 Victory
Bruno from None (1520) *** 0-1 Loss
Sentry from Mexico (1556) *** 4-0 Victory
Shiloh from Texas, USA (1739) *** 2-0 Victory
Panty from Mexico (1670) *** 0-1 Loss
Gryphon from Ontario, Canada (1563) *** 3-0 Victory

This is gonna be another unfriendly tourney for me -.-
8 battles, 7 won, only one stayed to count the loss and give me my win, and the guy that won against me d/c when result screen was up, and my loss wasn't counted ._.

I don't have the time nor the patience I had last time, so I'll just cancel competition... I'm sad my team didn't see that much action :(

GL everyone!!

At least this time you got more wins than D/c

Just had my closest battle so far, but managed to come out on top 1-0.

10-0 now. No disconnects save for one yesterday that happened before even team preview came up. Guess I've gotten quite lucky about that.

Calling it a night, just to exhausted to continue battling tonight

45-8, 1780, good night to everyone thats still playing (except for Cybertron who got a whole day to play and as such is a cheater :P)

I've been just demolished by a japanese trick room team. Since the first turn I was doomed due to my poor lead choice. Even with a ton of hax on my side I couldn't get the win. I can't remember my last battle where I was demolished that way against a well constructed team with no hax involved by his side. It has been right after being haxed to death against a random 1500~ japanese. I was 1800+ and right now I'm at 1720~ so I'm out of this tournament. The next two days I'll be off because I'm attending to the Spanish vgc so GL to you all. Maybe I'll pull a couple of battles more while I try to sleep

Well, I'm calling it a night. It's been kind of a good day but it's ending on a bad note due to two losses which dropped my rating down to mid 1600s when I was about to hit 1700. That sucks.

So yes, tomorrow and this weekend I'll be going super hard and try to break 2000 and just stop after that. Saying good luck basically encourages hax, so... good skills guys!

To all smogon players playing at the moment i have completely lost my patience. after what should have been 7 consecutive wins they have all disconnected. i am now turning to the dark side so as a fair warning anybody that encounters me dont bother battling me, just disconnect because im out for BLOOD! >:(

I just started today... And I'm stopping for the night. lol xD

13-2
~1620-ish

Both times I lost were some Japanese chick with a rain team.
I'm starting to think that my team might actually be half-way decent.. Which is practically unheard of for a team that I put together. ^__^;

EDIT: Wow, Cybertron, your team is actually VERY similar to mine. That gives me hope, seeing how well you've done so far! =)

@MigaMen: step back from the game. Try again tomorrow. Just don't be like those who d/c. Be better than them.

@cannibal: good to hear!

Someone with a shitty team, no prediction skills, and a rating above 1500? I knew the DC was coming, but I still held out hope for some reason.

I'm done for the day, finishing with 77 battles that did not end in a DC, 71 of those were wins. My current rating is 1880, while the highest I had at any point today was 1895. I got greedy and played incredibly poorly against my opponent after reaching 1895 and lost 25 points from that battle. I then haxed TeeJay out in a really long/extended match, and my most recent Japanese opponent disconnected on me after I was winning 3-1. My goal for this tournament is to place in the top 10, heck, maybe even 1st, but it's a lot harder than the Autumn Friendly. Still a lot of fun, met a ton of cool and creative teams today, and the next few days should be a blast as well, although I'm actually going to be leaving the house rather than playing all day :P

YES I DO HAVE A LIFE
