Actually, it does matter since Breloom is OHKOed if it switches in on Close Combat.
Except they were talking about revenge killing, not switching into one of its attacks, in which case bulk doesn't matter as long as it can KO with Mach Punch.

His typing is actually brilliant as he gets a fantastic Stab Combo and he becomes very bulky with Sand Support.
And PO Tiers are BS anyways most players are noobs and there are too few good players to make an impact on the usage stats.
Even better, why not just use Drain Punch when you know you won't die in one hit? You're guaranteed to kill him in one hit after the defense drop and you healed off most of the damage as a result.Roob: Without an SD boost, Terakion won't OHKO him. Mach Punch is a solid 2HKO.

Please look up the meaning of circular reasoning. PLEASE. No offense, but it causes me physical pain to listen to the misuse of terms in debate. The issue is revenging Terakion. After an RP, few things can handle it on an offensive team, and SD pretty much ruins any chance of a defensive team taking it down. Breloom is pretty damn frai
252 Adamant Life Orb stone edge vs 252 hp / 252 defense Bold Celebi: 31.9% - 37.9% (err...no)
252 Jolly Life Orb stone edge vs 252 hp / 252 defense Bold Celebi:37.9% - 44.6%
252 Adamant Choice Scarf X-Scissor vs 252 Hp / 252 defense def Bold Celebi: 68.3 - 81% (2HKO much)
252 Jolly Choice Scarf Stone Edge vs 252 Hp / 252 Defense Bold Celebi: 29.2% - 34.4%
Another decent pokemon to check choiced sets, or the ones lacking EQ is the epic Qwilfish, which gained a great toy with his new ability, Intimidate (and can also do a lot of other things)
252 Adamant Life Orb stone edge (after Intimidate) vs 252 HP / 176 defense Impish Qwilfish: 43.1% - 51.2% (2HKO with a good damage roll)
252 Jolly Life Orb Stone Edge (after Intimidate) vs 252 Hp / 176 Defense Impish Qwilfish: 39.8% - 47.0%
252 Adamant choice scarf Stone Edge (after Intimidate) vs 252 Hp / 176 defense Impish Qwilfish: 33.2% - 39.5% (lol)
252 Jolly Choice Scarf Stone Edge (after Intimidate) vs 252 Hp / 176 Defense Impish Qwilfish: 30.5% - 36.2%
Not many players runs Adamant though, as like the 70% of Scarfed variants run Jolly. Also, both Celebi and Qwilfish resists Close Combat, and Qwilfish can also deal decent damage with Aqua Jet. They both die from the right coverage move, sadly, but since both the moves that 0HKO them are weak without stab/life orb, you can then use Terakion as a setup fodder (especially with Qwilfish, that attracts EQs). And Qwilfish comfortably survives an EQ from scarfed/rock polish versions:
252 Adamant Life Orb Earthquake (after Intimidate) vs 252 HP / 176 Defense Impish Qwilfish: 57.5% - 68.3%(this easily 2HKOs)
252 Jolly Life Orb Earthquake (after Intimidate) vs 252 Hp / 176 Defense Impish Qwilfish: 43.7% - 52.1%
252 Adamant Choice Scarf Earthquake (after Intimidate) vs 252 Hp / 176 Defense Impish Qwilfish: 44.3% - 52.7%(2HKO with stealth rocks)
Another Pokemon able to act as a decent check to Terakion is Goruggo, the most played set runs 252 Hps, and the second most used set runs 208 Hps and 48 Defense. Goruggo is immune to fighting attacks and he resists rock attacks, he resists X-Scissor too:
252 Adamant Life Orb Earthquake agains 252 Hp / 0 Def Goruggo: 49.0% - 57.9% (2HKO with rocks, good damage roll and no leftovers)
252 Jolly Life Orb Earthquake against 252 Hp / 0 Def Goruggo: 36.9% - 43.5% (no way it 2HKOs)
252 Adamant Choice Scarf Earthquake against 252 Hp / 0 Defense Goruggo: 37.7% - 44.5% (it will never 2HKO)
At +2 with Swords Dance he does a lot of damage to many things (even to Gligar :/). But then he becomes pretty easy to Revenge Kill, even without scarf...Azelf outpseeds and 0HKO it with Psychic, Azumarill 0HKOs it with Aqua Jet, Flygon comes and kills with EQ, there are a lot of revenge killers for this, but the Counters aren't much, considering the power it packs. Another small note, remember that Stone Edge is supposed to miss once every 5 hits, and to crit a little more often than normal moves...this makes SE calcs pretty...unreliable
I already discussed this a lot on PO, about the PO server UU tier...well, I don't see the problem in beating Terakion. I'm quoting my own post from there:
but theres no safe switch tbh. Thats whyi use LO 4 attack or CB rakion since i fear getting killed that easily tbh. Also celebi on PO UU is a boss. Its kind of anti meta when used right
LuckOverSkill said:252 SpA Timid Psychic with LO does 83.3% - 98.8% with Psychic, factoring in Sandstorm, against 4 Hp/ 0 SpD Terakion
I had to look this one up because it seemed suspiciously low. I actually got 38.6% - 45.5% instead, which makes me wonder whether or not the rest of your calcs are inaccurate. But instead of backtracking through each of your calcs, I'm just going to skim over some of the more important ones...Luck said:252 Adamant Life Orb stone edge vs 252 hp / 252 defense Bold Celebi: 31.9% - 37.9% (err...no)
Cool, but due to the nature of Choice Scarf, this means I'm either using Rak to check your Celebi, or your Celebi is switching in to check my Rak. The latter does kind of hurt your example, illustrating that if Celebi were common enough or expected through team viewer to switch in, it can easily be 2HKOed by one of its commonly run moves.252 Adamant Choice Scarf X-Scissor vs 252 Hp / 252 defense def Bold Celebi: 68.3 - 81% (2HKO much)
Are you talking about Doryuuzu? Cause there is no chance he's taking a +2 CCWhat about the newly popular CB Escavalier? It's so bulky I'm pretty sure it can survive either +2 STAB and KO back with SE Iron Head. Yes? No? I can't run calcs but how much does max/max for defense do compares to neutral 252/0, which is more likely?
How much damage does Terakion take from a Choice Band Azumaril?
As I said before, Goruggu is a 100% counter to pretty much all Terakion, beating all but balloon handily with EQ whilst living it's hits, and KOing back (Hammer Arm beats ballon using ones).
Are you talking about Doryuuzu? Cause there is no chance he's taking a +2 CC
Why using hammer arm over DynamicPunch? And I just realized that I forgot attack EVs in some of my calcs, screw that D:
EDIT: No guard didn't get released iirc, well, if you play DW you can use Dpunch
Hammer arm gets boosted by Iron Fist. Admittedly, so does Dynamic Punch, but 50% acc is not something I'd put my faith in when it comes to stopping Terrakion and it's not like Goruugo was outspeeding Terrakion anyways,
