If you can come up with a viable vgc2012 competitive set for it, go for it. Just be aware that there is no published vgc2011 set for it, so the chinchilla Pokémon is likely not competitively viable in vgc2012.
Since I'm not allowed to comment on the respective threads...
Zapdos, Tyranitar, and, Amoonguss are well-done. Great job by those who posted them! The sets, spreads, and ideas behind them are well-written and as far as Tyranitar goes at least, it comes from an experienced Tyranitar user.
Hitmontop is fine as it is but the intimidate set should be listed before the technician set, as technician top does not do very well in the VGC 2012 metagame.
Volcarona and Mamoswine need some serious work, as the moves, EV spreads, and items reflect a lack of calculations and practice, although they aren't completely off. A lot of people play singles so much, and the builds on these two really reflect the singles metagame moreso than the VGC 2012 one. I'd be glad to offer help and advice on tweaking those two, as I've had months upon months of experience running different sets and finding the most optimal ones. Other than that, I'm not extremely experienced any other mons, so I cannot really offer accurate advice on them.
One more thing- I'd like to reserve Pachirisu. Yes, I am writing a legit guide on it, because people will see the Japs using it more often than they think, and it's good to test and use to understand what it does.
