Post here errors in the Pokemon DB.

Non-exhaustive list of what this covers:

* Errors in Pokemon data
* Pokemon showing up in generations they aren't in
* Errors in move data
* Errors in learnsets (what moves a Pokemon learns)

.. etc... go.

MOVE/ITEM/ABILITY DESCRIPTIONS AND POKEMON MOVESETS ARE _NOT_ A PART OF THE POKEMON DATABASE. THEY ARE USER CREATED CONTENT, AND THEREFORE NEED TO BE EITHER IN THE WORKSHOPS OR IN THE SMALL CHANGES THREAD.

http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/selfdestruct
http://www.smogon.com/rs/moves/selfdestruct

Mewtwo and Snorlax are not listed as learning Selfdestruct. Actually a lot of Pokemon are missing, such as Gengar. This is an XD Tutor. I believe the other Pokemon (other than Mewtwo and Snorlax) learned it if they learned Explosion, but someone will have to verify that.

http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/role_play
http://www.smogon.com/rs/moves/role_play

Mew learns Role Play (which people confused with Trick). It learns it as an XD move.

This is all ADV/DP

In Pokemon XD you can catch several Pokemon that have moves on them they don't learn otherwise.

http://www.serebii.net/xd/pokemon-attacks.shtml

That means they're illegal with egg and NYPC moves, though some of them come with egg moves (like, Scyther comes with Silver Wind and Morning Sun).

Here's a list of Move Tutors in DP: http://www.serebii.net/xd/move-tutor.shtml

The problem is, it's not listing the Pokemon that get stuff from it. I know that Selfdestruct is simply Wailord, Snorlax, Mewtwo + Exploders though.

Pokemon Box gives you several Pokemon that come with a special move as well.
Zigzagoon/Linoone is missing Extremespeed.
Ralts/Kirlia/Gallade are missing Wish (Gardevoir has it)
Swablu/Altaria are missing False Swipe
Skitty/Delcatty are missing Pay Day
Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu are missing Surf

Tropius was a hoax IIRC, along with Salamence (not Bagon) and Gardevoir (Not Ralts). Drowzee and Kangaskhan were the other Pokémon that got Wish/Another move at that Event, along with Farfetch'd, Lickitung, Chansey & Exeggcute like you said. Bagon actually wasn't at that Event, it was distributed with Absol, Ralts and Pikachu. All knowing Wish/Another move. Which were Iron Defense, Spite, Charm & Teeter Dance respectively. Each Pokémon could only have one of those moves, not both. While the others listed (Kanga-Exeggute) had both moves.

DP Wish - Absol, Kangaskhan, Farfetch'd, Hypno/Drowzee, Blissey/Chansey, Lickylicky/Lickitung and Salamence/Shelgon/Bagon should be on here.

RS Wish - Absol, Kangaskhan, Farfetch'd, Hypno/Drowzee, Blissey/Chansey, Lickitung and Salamence/Shelgon/Bagon should be on here.

New York Pokémon Center

December 16, 2004 - January 2, 2005

Chansey – Sweet Scent / Wish
Drowzee – Belly Drum / Wish
Exeggcute – Sweet Scent / Wish
Farfetch’d – Yawn / Wish
Kangaskan – Yawn / Wish
Lickitung – Heal Bell / Wish

Both moves eligable on one Pokémon at the same time.

Pokémon Centers in Japan

April 25, 2003 - May 18, 2003

Absol - Spite / Wish
Bagon - Iron Defense / Wish
Pichu - Teeter Dance / Wish
Ralts - Charm / Wish

Only one move per Pokémon, not both like the NYPC ones.
http://www.smogon.com/rs/moves/charm

Gardevoir/Kirlia/Ralts should be there.
http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/heal_bell

Lickylicky/Lickitung should be there.

http://www.smogon.com/rs/moves/heal_bell

Lickitung should be there.

All generations, entire Pikachu line should get Surf. RBY/GSC gets it through Pokemon Stadium (beat some challenge with Pikachu appearing in every one of your battles), RS through Pokemon Box (fill all your boxes completely, I think), DP through Pokemon Battle Revolution (upon completion).

Oddish/Gloom/Vileplume/Bellossom get Leech Seed in GSC via a NYPC event. I guess that means that technically they get it for RBY as well then via Tradeback.

http://www.smogon.com/rb/moves/gust

Isn't gust of the normal type in RB?

On Pokemon Yellow, Pikachu is hit with normal effectiveness when attacked by Gust from Pidgey. It resists fly. So I'm pretty sure we can say Gust is a normal attack on Yellow. I am yet to test this on Red or Blue though.

Edit: Confirmed on Red. Bulbasaur is hit with normal effectiveness from Pidgey's Gust. Oh and even Netbattle recognises it as Normal.

Ursaring's movepool page doesn't list Last Resort. However, it is a move tutor attack, and it also shows up in Shoddy battle's move list on the team builder.

Hoppip GSC page lacks Splash, Synthesis and Tail Whip. And there still is that problem with the GSC Spikes page I outlined above.

http://www.smogon.com/gs/moves/growth

Growth Eevee was a NYPC Pokemon, was it not? Well, the entire Eevee line is missing from this list. Also...

http://www.smogon.com/gs/pokemon/eevee/moves
http://www.smogon.com/gs/pokemon/espeon/moves
http://www.smogon.com/gs/pokemon/flareon/moves
http://www.smogon.com/gs/pokemon/jolteon/moves
http://www.smogon.com/gs/pokemon/umbreon/moves

Growth is missing from all of their learnsets. The Eevolutions' analyses all list Growth either as a main option (Espeon) or in other options so it's a tad unusual for Growth not to be in their learnsets. They're not overdue for an update, are they?

A very large number of GSC Pokemon are missing moves that they only learn in RBY, almost every TM that changed between generations, and Pokemon whose level up learnsets lost moves between the games. I understand that GSC moves are often not permitted in RBY, but have seen nothing to indicate that RBY only moves were banned from GSC. Its not a minor fix, but while there is such a large inaccuracy it almost seems worth putting a notice up somewhere to stop people from getting the wrong information.. That or extending the project RB Golbat started to check Smogon's learnsets to past generations to try and solve the problem.

On a related note, would it be worth having a separate table for "tradeback only" moves on the RB pages?

edit: there should be a space between "A" and "PART" in the third to last line of the OP from this thread, don't kill me.

Karate Chop

In the "Moves" database, "Karate Chop's" type is listed as "Fighting" for the R/B (first) generation. The actual typing is "Normal," as stated in the "Differences in R/B" section.

Just a little something I noticed while rnging. You guys have the abilities of magnemite/ton/zone in the wrong order. I noticed this when I ended up getting a magnemite with sturdy ability rather than magnet pull. http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/magnezone
You have magnet pull as ability 1 and Sturdy as ability 0 when in fact it should be the other way around.

Checking all DP corrections posted in this thread so that someone with the power to can find them all in one place without having to check if each is fixed yet, and when they have the time and inclination to fix them.

Gallade + Wish
Ralts learns it, so.. its evo can.
Pichu is missing Surf, but it can't be pal parked so should not be added.

Shedinja + Baton Pass, Swords Dance, Slash
It does get Baton Pass if you delay evolution until level 45 (its even in the analysis). It also gets Swords Dance and Slash by holding off evolution until level 25 and 31 respectively.

Wormadam - Dig, Stealth Rock, Earthquake, Fissure, Flash Cannon, Gyro Ball, Harden, Iron Head, Metal Sound, Mirror Shot, Rock Blast, Rock Tomb, Sandstorm.
Normal form was noted as having SR when it should not, checked movepool and found quite a few others. Wormadam seems to have acquired a lot of moves from one of the other forms somehow..

Zigzagoon - Roar, Hyper Beam, Giga Impact, Strength, Switcheroo,
Was notes as not having Shadow Claw. Found others. Seems to have picked up moves from Linoone, which Ziggy can't get.

Linoone + Pin Missile
Ziggy gets it as a level up move.

Magmortar + Follow Me
Magmar gets it from XD.

Jirachi
+ Draco Meteor
Event move.

Scizor + Vacuum Wave
Scyther gets it

Azurill - Aqua Jet, Amnesia, Belly Drum, Superpower, Future Sight, Supersonic
Azuril has pretty different egg moves from Marill, it seems to have got a few mixed in that need removing.

Slowking + Trick
Pt tutor, Slowpoke gets it. Its other Pt tutor moves are fine.

Lickilicky + Wish
Tung gets it as an event move.

Smeargle + Every Sketchable move
It gets Sketch, so get all these moves. No real reason for them not to be listed.

Additionally (from the event move guide/thread):
Pikachu + Fly
Pokewalker event.

Plusle + Mud Sport
Jap event.

Poliwag, Poliwhirl, Poliwrath + Sweet Scent
Poliwag gets it via an event. Politoed has it already.

Minun + Water Sport
Jap event.

Arceus + Spacial Rend, Roar of Time, Shadow Force
All from an event.

Munchlax + Selfdestruct
Pokewalker event.

Lugia + Earth Power
Pt tutor

I can go back and find sources for all the events that are questionable if it is required.

Andy Snype

Mr. Music
I'm unsure about this one, but is the only moves page that Smeargle is listed under as Sketch? I do not see any other moves with Smeargle listed as capable of learning it. I apologize if I'm sounding lazy, but I only checked Absorb, Attract, Spikes, Toxic Spikes, Dragon Dance, Spore. Is it because that Smeargle technically never learns those moves by level-up, TM, or egg move or Smeargle can sketch any move?

Good point, slightly surprised no one noticed/brought this up before actually. Smeargle's move pages for DP, RS, and GS need every move that exists (bar Chatter and Struggle) added. Unless moves learned through Sketch don't count for some reason, but this makes no competitive sense and stops people from finding it from the move page when looking for a Pokemon that learns that move.

Source, many (enough to be confident the lists agreed) checked against Bulbapedia and some against an apparently incomplete list on GFAQs.

The conversion2 SCMS entry should be moved to conversion_2, almost everywhere else disagrees with us and I checked ingame.

Ideally the items for all generations would be added as well.

These are not a priority but when someone with the ability gets a chance it's something that could be improved.

I can only link to the cached page right now so...
http://webcache.googleusercontent.c...on+shedinja+analysis&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
Let's go through the complete list of everything that can kill Shedinja.
Fire / Flying / Dark / Ghost / Rock moves, non-Fighting / Normal attacks from a Mold Breaker Pokémon, poison, burn, Leech Seed, confusion damage, sandstorm, hail, Spikes / Stealth Rock, Nightmare, Darkrai's Bad Dreams, Life Orb recoil, Double-Edge recoil, Struggle, Struggle recoil, Destiny Bond, Perish Song, Aftermath, Rough Skin, Future Sight / Doom Desire, Ghost-type Curse, Jaboca/Rowap Berry recoil, and absorbing health against a Pokémon with Liquid Ooze.
I was testing things that can and can't kill Shedinja yesterday with a friend on Shoddy and we discovered that Shedinja isn't hurt by Jaboca or Rowap recoil

Absol is not listed as having the move Superpower, yet it is advised in all of Absol's analyses, and in fact can be learned by Absol. Superpower does not show up here (http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/absol/moves) or here (http://www.smogon.com/dp/moves/superpower). Thanks for your time

Edit: P.S. (Evidence) Absol learns Superpower by a move tutor in Platinum, Heart Gold, or Soul Silver. Source: (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Absol), direct quote:
