Tournaments, Rules, & Competitions
Cumulative player records for all major Monotype team tournaments can be found here.

Policy for Cheating in Tournaments
Monotype will primarily use the Ghosting/Cheating policy from the Tournaments Forum.

In short, if you're caught ghosting (helping/playing for another player) or cheating in any way (as interpreted by the Monotype forum moderation team) in one of our tournaments you will be banned from Monotype-related tournaments/events for 6 months. This includes our seasonals in the Circuit Tours sub-forum.

Tour banned users may still participate in the discussion in the main Monotype room on Pokemon Showdown, but their scores will not be counted in events (such as the Monotype Best Leaderboard Tour).

Tour banned users may still participate in forum projects/discussions and suspect tests.

Ladies, gentlemen and people in-between, good evening!

Since it's THAT time of the year, we felt it would be fun to look back on everything that happened in 2024 and appreciate the ones that worked their asses off for our metagame to be as good as it can be!


GENERAL RULES:

- The Monotype Awards 2024 will consist of two separate phases, Nominations and Voting. This one is Nominations, where you will have the freedom to nominate whoever you think is worthy for each category.

- Click the link above to start your nominations.

- You can nominate up to 3 different players for category. Anyone who nominates 4 or more will have their ENTIRE nomination invalidated.

- If you don't know anyone to nominate, leave the field blank; no need to fill everything out.

- The 5 most mentioned players in each category will be declared the official nominees and move to Phase 2, Voting. During the Voting phase, you will pick between those five to determine the winner of each category.

- Any attempt at trolling by submitting non-existent users or fake smogon usernames will result in the entire nomination being invalidated.

- Nominations will end at 23:59 GMT-3 on Friday, December 20th. Then, Voting will start a few days later.

- Have fun!

We will ignore comments that are targeted or disingenuous. The goal is to help address problems and the make the community better, not to air grievances or to post your metagame takes.
