In national Dex OU, I have ladder 1900+ already in this tier and qualified till round 7 of 2023 Ssnl and till round 9 of 2022 ssnl. I have also played from team india in NDWC

I have played Nat dex mono for a long time and also have been an active member in the tier. I reached till top 8 of the trios tour prev year and qualified till r3 of stellar this year (then lost to hax). I also learned a lot of Monotype playing this tier and have a long experience. I have done only 1 rate of this tier till now

1v1, I am a 1v1 main. I have learned 1v1 from the beginning of my ps journey. I have been an active member of the room. I have played on 1v1PL from Hellfire Heatrans and played from Team india in 1v1WC. I have done basically everything except qualifying for circuit in 1v1. I was semi finalist of SV kickoff and Top 12 of Old gen 1v1 tour and also r9 (top 12/10) of Ssnl. I have done only 1 1v1 rate

Most of my Rates is mainly on the Smogon Discord in the Monotype rmt channel.

Ways you've demonstrated knowledge of the metagame: Part of the Monotype QC Team, written 10+ analyses and actively QC analyses, a article, and a spotlight. (So far most of the are waiting for a GP check or someone else to qc so in total i should have like 28 checks when they are uploaded.) Got drafted for MWP and NDMPL. Now I am the host of the Monotype Set Compendium.

A brief summary of your experience in that meta: Mained national dex for four years+ (since the very beginning of the tier), I have thousands of games played on the high ladder and experience across a variety of tours, Currently I am in the top 8 of winners bracket in the winter ssnl (hopefully going further)

Forum rates demonstrating your knowledge: Ive recently taken to doing forums rates however I've privately helped build and rate probably 50+ tournament teams for people over the past two years and 100s of ladder teams. I plan on being very active in the RMT forum. Here are my recent forums rates showcasing my rating style
Ways you've demonstrated knowledge of the metagame: Ive built successful teams for the last iteration of NDPL, the $500 DLC2 money tour semi finals, NDLT, and several for the recent NDFL which I won as a manager providing building support and several of my own teams for our NDOU slots. Heres my Player of the Week Interview that has a paragraph explaining some of my building philosophy. Ive gotten reqs and participated in all of the last 7 suspects. I am the co-host of and build for a forum teambuilding project called The Lunatics Workshop where the concept is to build meta functional teams around unorthodox or unique sets.

A brief summary of your experience in that meta: I'm a newer player but I've topped ladder about a dozen times at this point and have experience building for a number of tournaments including my own games, helping with SPL and SCL, and OUPL teammates.

I am a tutor for SV OU and for that application I was vouched for by OUTL Finchinator and council member NJNP. A brief summary of my experience: Consistently hitting 1600 peaks on ladder every season, though I drop towards the end. Several room tour victories and starting to enter actual online tours. The meta you'd like to rate: VGC

A brief summary of your experience in that meta: Started VGC in late 2014, and has been consistently active in it to date. Due to lack of live events, I mostly hit the ladder, (managed to peak in almost every VGC ladder since my debut), and has consistently performed well in online tournaments (recently winning the Smogon VGC Seasonals) and in draft leagues.

Forum rates demonstrating your knowledge: Have done over a dozen forum rates in VGC, and many more on the Official Smogon Discord Rates section. A few of them are listed as follows:
Ways you've demonstrated knowledge of the metagame: Have written 13 Analyses (12 VGC & 1 BSD), and have QC'd around 15 VGC Analyses so far. I'm also a part of the VGC Quality Control team, and regularly engages in conversation in Discord and Showdown regarding meta shifts and possible predictions on meta trends due to the fast paced nature of VGC meta development.

A user recently used my team to win the DPP circuit semifinals - the RMT also got featured in the October RMT of the Month. I have Platinum achievements in Brave and Guts (used to be record holder in Guts).

Refer to this, also made this article regarding Primal Groudon for ND Ubers, and have 110 credits for the C&C section of ND Ubers. Forum-rate wise, there's these (1, 2) for ND Ubers, and these two for Shared Power, outside of the forum there's several more on the main Smogon server (1, 2, 3). Oh yeah, also made this team that got into the RMT of July 2024.

Just gonna lump these two together:

For NDOU, I am apart of the C&C and have a variety of different QC checks across different Pokemon. I played for Good as Goose in the 2024 SmogCord Tournament back in August (I think) while also climbing to Round 6 of the Summer Seasonal. I am in general quite active in the NDOU Discord server and on forums where I have created in-depth teamdumps as well as posting my own thoughts on the metagame as a whole in the Metagame Discussion thread.

As for NDUbers, I'm not only part of the C&C for that too, but the council as well, while being on the winning team for that format in NDFL 2 (as well as going 2nd best for that format at 7-2). Similarly to NDOU though, I have posted long posts about the state of the metagame and VR as well as doing large teamdumps for the tier.

For both tiers I have participated in suspect tests too. The Terastalization suspect for NDOU, the Xerneas suspect and Terastalization suspect for NDUbers.

Also did my own RMT recently with a team that had a pretty nice peak.

A brief summary of your experience in that meta: I've been playing NDUbers for almost as long as it has had a ladder. I've also played in most of our tournaments, finishing second in our winter seasonal and NDUbers cup last year while winning both of the trios tournaments we have done. I was drafted in NDPL as support for NDUbers and am currently playing NDUbers in NDBD. I'm also on the NDUbers council.
Ways you've demonstrated knowledge of the metagame: I started and ran our teambuilding competition until handing it off to zrp200 recently. I also overhauled our teambuilding compendium to include curated sets, tera typings, and what type of counterplay a various check is. I am a member of the VR council. Ive written articles for TFP on generational mechanics in ndubers, entry hazards in ndubers, and co-wrote don't use that use this. I've also been rating for NDUbers on the smogon discord server for a few months and thought I'd applied already to do the same here, but apparently not. I've topped the ladder, but our ladder is the personification of tomfoolery. I'm also a member of our QC team for the strategy dex. Bobsican and Entrocefalo can vouch for me. AWYP as well.

The last thing is, if you plan on keeping Kyurem boots, I would go for Zama instead of Keldeo. Your pivoting is not that relevant if you don't have mons to keep up the momentum and get important kills. Zamazenta is an amazing mon with a lot of different sets, but I do see IronPress or Choice Band as the better options here

SV OU Post in thread 'Standard Offense'

The last change I would do is using leftovers instead of Soft Sand on Lando-T.
Since he is your main pivot. (If you run the samu-h lead set) You need it to be as healthy as it can be, and I don't think this 1.2x boost is better than more HP points, since you have 2 big damage dealers on Zamazenta and Dragapult, creating scenarios for them to shine should be your main strategy on most battles.

I played both iterations of Regulation G and every other Gen 9 VGC format as well as having some limited experience on the pre-gen8 side through room tours and tournaments.

Ways you've demonstrated knowledge of the metagame: I have been helping people teambuild largely over Discord since Gen 8 VGC. I've been an active player in every VGC format since than with the exception of Gen 8 Series 13, lead the VGC UU discord, and wrote the Regulation G analysis for Roaring Moon! I'm also currently a team rater for VGC on the Smogon discord. LovelyLuna, IPetBigfoot, and Pengu can all vouch for me.

A brief summary of your experience in that meta: I've been playing all 3 since they came out. I've been on top of the ladder since 2015. For ORAS, I'm a moderator, on the QC team, written multiple analyses, and was a starter in both SPL and WCOP. I am also the 2024 ORAS invitational winner and ORASPL manager. For SM and SS, I am a constant helper in team tours like ADPL, WCOP, and SPL that have those metas. Not to mention laddering both of them and playing them since they came out. For SM, I also have an RMT.

Rating teams here and there, tons of people sending me pastes to help them with, and all the aforementioned stuff above. Congrats on the peak!

I'll start with the star of the show. I have experimented with Necrozma myself in other formats where Ting-Lu cannot put it in timeout. Trick Room works as a standalone sweeper, but I want to propose a better set for it, especially on this team. Fair warning that it is definitely not a typical set, but this team has the perfect support to pull it off in SV OU.

As for Tusk vs Quaquaval--one thing to try is Choice Scarf Quaquaval in that last slot. The current team has some speed, but not enough to get past threats with 400+ speed that litter the tier. Darkrai, Pult, and Scarf Gholdengo have openings if played correctly as your threat list correctly points out. The set below outspeeds Dragapult and OHKOs back with Knock Off post Tera Dark. On the stuff you are pondering:

  • I would keep Iron Valiant Tera Ghost because it's too valuable to have it in your back pocket if Dragonite or Zamazenta want to ruin your day.
  • I would keep Make it Rain over Dazzling Gleam on Gholdengo because one STAB boosted Make it Rain hits harder than a x2 Super Effective Dazzling Gleam (180 BP vs 160 BP after power adjustments). We will fix the Zamazenta concerns with my proposed changes.

This is an excellent squad. I would keep your current version and consider my comments as additional options for experimentation. Lokix is a focal point for your build and I get why it's there. Since this is a Sun team, I would suggest at least trying a Specially Defensive Slither Wing set. The right spread can still take out Ogerpon-Wellspring and Darkrai with First Impression, handle Zamazenta and Great Tusk better with Will-o-Wisp, and have some utility against Dragonite with a good Tera. Here's my theorymon set:

Nice team! The results on both the ladder and in Smogon Tour tell me this team is pretty solid and doesn't need a ton of changes. I can also tell that the metagame has changed a lot in the last five months and some new trends could help you out. I have two suggestions / metagame updates:

1.) SD Mega Scizor -> Curse Mega Scizor

I like this team a lot and can see why it has done well on the ladder. I agree with most of your threatlist, but I don't see the big threats as pokemon, rather as cores. For instance, full stall with Quagsire + Amoonguss + Skarmory shits all over this team. On the offensive end, we have a safety blanket of CB Dragonite + LO Breloom + Azumarill + ScarfDrill, so we can revenge most stuff, but not everything - opposing win conditions such as Rock Polish Metagross, Talonflame, and Tail Glow Manaphy are tough to revenge kill. Fixing these problems requires some delicate tinkering...
