As stated in the SotG threads, the standing committee members will be rotated out after every two SotG votes.

In order to be a Standing Committee member, you must supply links to three battles you have been in and three matches you have reffed.

Standing Committee Members are expected to post proposals and feedback in SotGs. Only apply if you have interest in making serious proposals or providing feedback on the game.

The following people were standing committee members for the last 2 SotG votes and cannot reapply:

zarator
Fire Blast
Engineer Pikachu
danmantican
Alchemator
Its_A_Random
Limewire

There are 7 positions available for the standing committee members.

I'd like to apply.

Battles:

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86261 Versus FinnRagetti (Match 1), 1v1 Singles, switching irrelevant, all abilities, 2 days dq, two uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, items enabled. Victory mine. Probably my favorite match, in spite of a several misplays by the opponent.

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102320 Freezing Fury (part 1) w/ Omegaman and Berserker Lord, 2v2v2 Melee, switch=KO, one ability, 4 days dq, 3 uses of Recover/Rest and 8 chills, no items. (Trying something with this battle similar to that one "Shadow of a Doubt" battle that never got finished. RPing line, and so far successful. Still running.)

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=103371 The Great Arby's Faceoff w/ NyxNocturne, 4v4 Doubles, switch=OK, all abilities, 3 days dq, 2 uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, no items. Victory mine.

And because of raw egregiousness:

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86127 Versus Plusle, 3v3 Singles, switching OK, no abilities, 2 days dq, two uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, no items. Victory mine. Notable for being the longest-running match in the entire history of CAP ASB, lasting from February 16th (only about a week after CAP ASB's inauguration, and easily less) to May 3rd.

Reffing:

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86428 DarkSlay versus Its_A_Random. 1v1 Singles, switch=n/a, one ability, 3 days dq, two uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, no items.

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86321 DarkSlay versus Wikey. 1v1 Singles, switch=n/a, all abilities, 3 days dq, two uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, items enabled.

http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=86363 Engineer Pikachu vs. Rolf. 2v2 Singles, switch=KO, all abilities, 3 days dq, two uses of Recover/Rest and 5 chills, no items.

I can also speak for various procrastinators throughout CAP ASB. I'm fairly active, ironically enough, and you've probably seen me on IRC. I've been here since day 1, and I even contributed to the Plicowatt line for revisions.

Also the only trainer to use a Snover, apparently.

Oh no. That guy applied. Quick, delete the post.

In all seriousness, yeah, I'm bothering to apply, even though I'm pretty much certain not to make it due to controversial stances I take. Anyways, three favorite battles and reffings. Also, I would like to point out that I have done more broken things than D_W. (Psychic, Burn, destruction of arenas, general luck, Destiny Bond), and tend to notice when something is wrong, even if my ways of dealing with it are less than popular, and my ideas of where the game should go often run counter-current to the ideas of several notable players. Needless to say, I can and will force people to defend thier stances they make, and at least draw attention to certain major issues. Oh, and if it matters I've been here since development.

Reffings:

I'd like to apply for the standing committee myself. I'm usually a very reasonable individual, but I can be quick to anger if I think you're doing something exceptionally dumb or acting particularly snoody/pushy. Hopefully this won't get in the way of my application to the standing committee! All of the links to all of my battles and refereeing work done can be found in my profile, but I will post them again below for convenience:

My original Application

But I'll post it up again if you'd prefer it:
I'll also be applying as a member of the Standing Committee.
I feel I am perfectly qualified to a position here. Reason being: my long standing experience. I have been here since the day CAP ASB was released (not while it was developed, mind you). And though I did not contribute to its development, I still am an active member of CAP ASB, battling regularily and reffing at least once a week. I feel my opinion deserves to be heard (I am also very active in the RP Thread, *at least a little under a quarter of the posts there are mine*). I have my own RP thread open now, so in terms of the interests of RPers around the world of Smogon CAP ASB, I will particularly have a straightforward opinion. However, in terms of rules that have been updated recently, I have not been up to date entirely myself. I promise, however, that I will make sure to keep myself updated while I remain on the Committee.

My Battles:
vs. GoldenKnight (Win)
vs. Venser (DQ Loss)
vs. Dogfish44 (Loss)
vs. Plusle (DQ Win)
vs. Kannon (Loss)
vs. GoldenKnight (Loss)
vs. Doran Dragon(Win)
vs. danmantincan (Loss)

Battles I've reffed:
Tortferngatr vs. Kaxtar
GoldenKnight vs. HD
Kaxtar vs. ginganinja
Chou Toshio vs. Athenodoros (Taken over by Destiny Warrior)
Athenodoros vs. Doran Dragon (Taken over by Zarator)
Kannon vs. Rolf
Objection vs. iiMKUltra

Standing Committee Members (in order they applied):

Tortferngatr
Venser
smashlloyd20
GoldenKnight
Rising_Dusk
Athenodoros
Acklow

I think I should make a few more notes, since this will be a regular occurence otherwise.

1. I base my selection criteria primarily on the effort displayed in posts and in reffing. Reffings are much more important. What I tend to look for isn't fancy displays (about 10 less -'s would stop your format from stretching my screen btw. Athenodoros...) but if you can follow the basic flow of the match. Bolding moves, crits, or special effects help, though good prose reigns supreme.

2. On that note, try to provide reffing samples of your best work. I tend to glance over them and look for consistency in description and effects, but I don't read every line. More recent battles are also favorable to ones back in February, since our rules and clarifications have shifted an insane amount since then.

So keep these points in mind and apply them to your current reffings. I don't reject anyone for being controversial (seriously, look at the OP ffs), I base it primarily on quality. If you still want to make proposals or arguments during an SotG but aren't a Standing Committee member, that's fine. All contributions are welcome.
